The San Antonio Symphony will honor the late, legendary King of Tejano music Emilio Navaira during a one-night only concert on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at 8 pm.
Emilio’s sons, Emilio IV and Diego, two musical talents in their own right, will join this special performances.
UPDATE: Emilio’s original band from the 1990s is to perform during the symphony concert and Emilio’s hits to be honored will include: Bailando Contigo, ¿Donde Andará?, Cómo le haré, and It’s Not the End of the World.
For tickets, call 210-223-8624 or visit the Tobin Center Box Office.
Ticket prices: $10, $30, $42, $70 and $81.
NOTE: My mom actually told me about this event and then I read about it on an awesome Tejano music website, Tejano Nation.
I’ll post more later but for now, check out a blast from the past video interview I did with Emilio IV and Diego in 2009.
