TMA Fan Fair just weeks away
The long-running Tejano Music Awards tradition continues with the three-day FREE Fan Fair set for March 16-18, 2012 in downtown San Antonio’s historic Market Square.
This year marks 32 years for the genre’s major and most anticipated event, the Tejano Music Awards. Since 1980, the event has honored the top performers of this unique and evolving genre.
Times and trends will change but Fan Fair endures as a popular preview to the awards show. The 2012 schedule features a healthy lineup of emerging and veteran musicians who will perform on multiple stages in Market Square. Fans can expect lots of food, autograph sessions with the artists, and surprise guest performers.
The annual Fan Fair will welcome Tejano music bands from as far as Michigan and other states across the country.

VIDEO: Siggno’s Jesse Turner at ENL2
Last Saturday’s ESTA NOCHE LIVE 2 featured surprise, special guest, Jesse Turner, lead vocalist and accordionist of Grupo Siggno. The crowd screamed as the young, charismatic singer joined Elida Reyna on stage for an awards presentation and performance of the duet, “Juntos Hasta Morir.”
Turner won Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2011 Tejano Music Awards but was at a performance in Washington state at the time, so he accepted his award at ENL2 Jan. 28, 2012 Elida swept the 2011 TMAs, winning Female Vocalist, Entertainer, Song, Album, and Duo of the Year (with Michael Salgado), and a couple of her many awards required minor tweaks.
