Updates soon: Stef’s stage dive; Mas Entrevistas and Ricardo Castillon rockin’ it

I promise to update more frequently. I have lots to say just not enough time in the day. I have photos to post of Stefani Montiel’s TMA Kickoff wristup-web-final2performance, where she showed what a trooper she is and why we’re so proud of her – especially the mujeres. (“Porque soy mujer!”) She doesn’t let an unplanned stage dive stop her performance. Also, more interviews with: Grupo Maldad, Artie V. y Suave, Chente Barrera and Carlos Maldonado. Two are newer artists and two are vets but they all have big plans and experience in the Tejano industry in some capacity.

JR of the Jay Perez Band has some soulful, danceable music that takes Tejano to that urban cumbia sound. In fact, I think he categorizes it as “Latin,” but if you’re a Tejano, I still refer to your music as Tejano. It’s just Tejano with a twist in this case. I like it. His new project is called Timbadura.

And mas video including Ricardo Castillon whose performances always impress. What a voice.

Tejano Beat is back!
